Terry Ricketts was able to hold off Chris Hocking on Sunday in the Final of the Men’s Major Championship. The 31/19 scoreline did not reflect the recent form of ‘Hock’ who took out the Minor Championship and was hoping for a clean sweep. Terry’s experience came to the fore with the former 1981 Premiership winning Hawk charging ahead to an 11 shot lead during the match.
Terry Ricketts is the 2018 club singles champion after his easy win over Chris Hocking in the final played last Sunday. The first 12 ends were even with Chris leading, 10/9. However, Chris would get stuck on 10 for the next six ends, while Terry charged away to an eleven shot lead, 21/10. It was a winning lead for Terry, and although Chris played some nice bowls, he was not able to recover and Terry was able to go on to an easy 31/19 win.
