Karen and Kai Steele with Piggy from the Bendigo Bank on Saturday at McLean Oval.
The Bendigo Bank Piggy had a busy day attending the Men’s Shed and the Junior Rugby League. Bendigo Bank sponsor both organisations. attended This year they sponsored Purple Day including the Girls League Tag commemorative Jerseys for the Greg Whitehead Cure For Brain Cancer. Karen Steele said, “Wow what a day and night, Thank you to all our volunteers and our hardworking committee for helping us once again put on such a successful fundraiser. Thank you to Boorowa Junior League for all your support and to everyone who bought socks and came out on the night to support this great cause. Once again the support from both our clubs and the community was fantastic. Thank you to the Bendigo Bank for your support, Piggy was a great hit around the kids today and we raised $2,500 for the Cure For Brain Cancer Foundation alone, as well as raised money for both our Junior Rugby League Clubs.
Harden/Boorowa Bushhawks U8’s
Lost in a close game. Our boys gave a good account of themselves stretching a strong Young Cherry pickers side to the limit. Both teams are to be congratulated for a very entertaining match. Tries were scored by Pheonix Daries 2, Tarell Karaitiana Halls 2, Deklan Friend 1 and Angus Whybrow 1. With Pheonix and Tarell both kicking conversions. Training this Thursday is at Harden 4.30pm. Thanks to our sponsors Boorowa Bobcat and Tipper Hire & Harden Country Club.
