Long known for being the road that led to the tip, Araluen Road in Murrumburrah is experiencing something of a mini-boom, with Council approving two development applications in the vicinity. At their first meeting for 2018, held last Wednesday, Council considered applications for the development of two new dwellings. The first is to be located on Lot 239 and will be a four bedroom, brick home, whilst the second will be a three bedroom, cladded house located on Lot 249. The former tip has now been upgraded to a transfer station, making the area very appealing for those seeking a more rural lifestyle. The area in question has remained sparsely populated for sometime now, but the allure of large blocks of land, away from town, has increasingly drawn people to the outer reaches of the Twin Towns. Maybe this is something of a tipping point for Araluen Road?
