Devils Brent ‘Backend’ Loader and President Harry Sachs kept the refreshments up to the Harden Red Devils and their supporters on the Devil’s Ambrose day held on Saturday. Australian Cricket Legend Doug Walters with Herb Manwaring, Robert Bates and Eric Kuhn at the Harden Country Club on Saturday.

22 pairs faced the starter at the Rugby Club fundraiser 2 Man Ambrose on Saturday in glorious weather and good spirits. Some were there for fun, some for a good day’s golf and some …. Well, who knows. From all accounts it was a great fun event and some good money made for the Red Devils 2018 campaign. Winners on the day were Kyle Murray and Uncle Brian. Shooting a score they could only dream of in September, Brian and Kyle have produced 8 under off the stick for a nett 56.5.

An awesome result to claim the goodies and the day’s bragging rights. In second place were two regular golfer burglars also in Ron Page and Kevin Hoppe who had 64/58. Bob Martin’s Turn Midweek Regular midweeker Bob Martin claimed his cap as head burglar for the week. Bob has returned a scorecard to the handicapper which showed he played 8 shots better than his midweek handicap suggests he should be playing to.

In this a 12 hole, 24 point par event, our Mr Martin has returned with 32 stableford points to get the bikkies. Bob surrenders the whole 8 he broke by and will resume duties this week on 16. Becoming a regular bridesmaid again is Michael McPake who had a very nice 29 point round, whilst in 3rd place Herb Manwaring had 28 points. Jim Wright has already bounced back from his win a week or 2 ago and had a par round for 4th on his new slimline handicap also.

Mystery ball winner this week went to Peter Steinke who has no doubt used this very ball to claim 41 points at the tough Tocumwal layout on Tuesday in the Party Boys annual River Pilgrimage. This Week This week the Men will be competing for their entry spot into the NSW 4BBB Keno Championship. Do not forget a partner this Saturday at Golf. The Ladies have an individual stableford scheduled on Saturday for a Club Trophy. The Bendigo Bank Hole in One Prize will be available on Saturday in both the Mens and Ladies comps. See you there.
