The ‘old’ ambulance Station in Albury Street is set to be sold after a period of decommissioning takes place in the coming weeks. The new Harden Ambulance Station delivered under the NSW Government’s $122 million Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program became operational in November after construction was completed in September on the Scott Street project.
It is unclear what may lay ahead for the old building which sits on prime real estate across the road from the tennis courts. The Burley Griffin Way or Albury Street sees thousands of vehicle movements a day which makes the site attractive to potential business owners. The sale of the building will come under close scrutiny after the sale of the old Gundagai Hospital was referred to (ICAC), The Independent Commission Against Corruption.
