The Scott family were a part of a large contingent of locals who ventured to the famous Monte Christo homestaed on Sunday July 2. Nearly 20 people toured the homestaed which is believed to be one of the most haunted in Australia.
Dressed in period costumes the group certainly caught the attention of other visitors who thought some of them were part of the presentation. There were no reportings of ghost sightings during the trip, however, temperature changes and ‘funny’ feelings were experience by several visitors.
Monte Cristo (literally Mount of Christ) came into being in 1884/85. Prior to the construction of the new house, the Crawley family lived in a small brick cottage now called the Original Homestead.
