Joe Nwesser and his family will be calling it a day for now, at their Pizza and Kebab shop in Murrumburrah. The family will be opening a new shopfront in the main Street in Young.
Joe Nwesser, wife Vesna and daughter Bella will be finishing up for now at the Murrumburrah Pizza Shop which they have run for the last 7 years. The well known family will be opening a shopfront in the main street of Young and will be selling their delicious food to the public with an emphasis on kebabs and fried food.
Joe has spent much of his time in the family business and ran the shop as a 13 year old whilst commencing high school when his father Jimmy was operating a shop in Yass. Not afraid of hard work, Joe and his family built the Pizza and Kebab shop in to a wonderful business which was frequented heavily by locals and travellers.
Joe said “We had plenty of truckies and travellers phone through orders from either Binalong or Wallendbeen and we would have it ready to go as they pulled up.” Joe was very efficient with his pizza making and said he once made 90 pizzas in a night. The quality was always at a premium and it is for this reason that the people of Harden Murrumburrah and surrounds loved going to see Joe.
Joe’s final day operating in Murrumburrah will be on April 23 before the business closes for a brief period. Lovers of the Nwesser family’s food won’t have to wait too long as Joe’s brother Jamal will be returning to Harden to re-open the business in May. Jamal ran the Business for many years before Joe’s most recent time and will be a familiar face to locals. Joe said he would like to thank everyone for their support over the years. “I love Harden and the people, its just time for a new adventure.”
