At 10.40am on Friday the 25/3/2017 a 61 year old Harden woman was driving on the Wombat Rd, towards Wombat, when near Kingsvale Rd, Demondrille, her vehicle left the roadway on a slight right hand bend and collided with a tree at an estimated 100 km/h.  She was able to free herself and was assisted by other road users.  Police and Ambulance attended along with Harden Fire and Rescue, and the woman was airlifted to Canberra Hospital with suspected injuries to her hips.  It is believed the collision was caused by the driver becoming distracted by an insect in the cabin of the vehicle.  The matter is currently under investigation.
