‘Save Gundagai Shire’ will be taking a contingent of angry locals to Sydney on April 8. Their focus will be on preventing the Liberal Party from winning the North Sydney and Manly by-elections. A 24 seater bus is leaving Gundagai at 6pm on Friday 7 April and returning on Saturday afternoon. Organisers expect to be home approximately 5pm. The group will be going down to support Carolyn Corrigan the former President of Save Our Councils Coalition (SOCC) in her attempt to win the North Sydney seat as an independent. SOCC has supported Save Gundagai Shire on many occasions and had about 20 representatives at the Queanbeyan protest, including Carolyn.

The itinerary is as follows: Leave Gundagai Tourist Centre at 6pm Friday 7 April. Travel by coach, Arrive accommodation North Sydney 11pm, Leave accommodation at 7.30 am 8 April, Media event at 8am, Dropped off at polling booths at 8.15am, Pick up and depart North Sydney 2pm, Arrive at Gundagai 7pm.
