“We used to do a fair bit of shearing work, roustabout and wool classing at Stewarts at ‘Derneveagh’, Keith Beveridge at ‘Wonga’ near Garangula, and Eric Weatherstones.  When we went to Peter Beal’s the shearers were Harry Bruce, Clarrie Powell and Bill Coddington. I was doing the picking up, Anthony Fairall the wool classing, Nicky Rawlin the wool pressing. Peter Beal was penning up and Bob Rogers the piece picking.  I had bought a brand new Mini Cooper in British Racing Green and it was my pride and joy. Peter said to me ‘come and have a look at this’. When I went out I found 2 big turkey gobblers on the top of my car–when they climb on, they flap and scratch like blazes when they get off.”

Here is another little hint, he lives at Washpool on Bouyeo Road.
