Cootamundra LAC Detectives are investigating a number of offences, including an Aggravated Break, Enter and Steal that occurred in Market Street, Boorowa, about 12.30pm on the 2nd March, 2017. At the time of the offence, the victim, a pregnant woman, was home alone when the house was entered by a male and female. At the time there was a third male waiting in a vehicle at the front of the property which police will allege was stolen from Yass earlier that day. The victim challenged the offenders, who fled the house with some items of property. Later that day, the vehicle was pursued on the Lachlan Valley Way by Cowra Highway Patrol, and later located in Cowra. On the 3rd of March, 2017, a 24 year old ACT man was arrested by Yass HWP after being involved in a collision during a police pursuit on the Lachlan Valley Way at Bowning in a second stolen vehicle. He was taken to Canberra Hospital due to injuries sustained, and has been arrested by ACT Police for other matters. NSW Police will institute proceedings to extradite the man to NSW to face charges at a later date.
