Harden Touch Footballers have proven their skill for the 3rd year in a row after taking out the B Grade Grand Final at the Coota Unisex Touch Carnival over the weekend. The side made up of mostly twin town locals endured horrendous conditions to claim the title.
They played 3 games on the Saturday and ended up facing the team they played first in the Final match, turning the tables on a 9-8 loss. B Grade had 18 sides in it once wins and losses had been tallied from the Saturday’s matches Jacob Prosser who is a regular player in the side was unable to play due to a recent knee surgery. He supported the team the whole weekend along with Liz & Darren Prosser, Cindy James and Allison Manwaring.
Last year they were runners up and the year before they won B Grade. It was the 33rd annual unisex touch carnival with prize money in excess of $5000 across the competition. The twin town side took home $1000 for the win.
Allison Manwaring said “The amount of water they drank was ridiculous, we had a tent up but we didn’t have our usual hydration man in Bluey West this year.” Congratulations must go to the young side who continue to fly the flag for the twin towns at this historic event.
