Jacob Prosser and Tom Pellow are losing their hair for Can Assist at 8pm this Saturday night at The Light Horse Hotel in Murrumburrah. They are encouraging the community to come down and have a fun night out.

Jacob Prosser and Tom Pellow are two young men on a mission. That mission is to raise $1500 this Saturday night at the Light Horse Hotel in Murrumburrah and they need your help. They will be shaving off their very long and impressive locks for charity. For a charity which has touched the hearts of many families in the twin town community. It’s not about Jacob and Tom and you can tell when they are asked why they are doing it, it is about others. Jacob said “It’s just about saying thanks to Can Assist and the women who look after everyone, like, Nikki Bolger, Vicki Fairfield-Smith, Reuben Barnes and all the Cancer nurses who do so much for the patients.” The two men are doing it to make a small difference in other people’s lives. Tom said “I’m going to find out this week if mine is long enough to make a wig out of it so that someone can benefit.” Jacob is auctioning his hair off to the highest bidder. Whoever wins is in charge of the clippers on him. Jacob and Tom will be down at the pub from around 5:30pm and they hope the entertainment by Brad Cox will start around 6pm “It would be great if people could stay down and make a night of it, we are auctioning a couple of barbed wire balls and there are some meat trays and grog packs which will be ready to go around 8. The pair have been growing their hair for over 12 months and it will all be coming off on Saturday. If you can’t make it down on Saturday you can still donate to this great cause at the Bendigo Bank BSB 633 000 Account 159252295 Account name JJ Prosser & TC Pellow. Good luck Jacob and Tom you have set a fine example for others in the community.

The Twin Town Times would like to ask that the community comes out and supports these brave young men in their endeavour to raise money for Can Assist. Society is judged by how they treat their most vulnerable. Cancer sufferers are some of our most vulnerable. The TTT will be donating $100 to kick things off. Let’s get a big crowd for the boys. See you Saturday night.
