Glenn Stewart said “Some jobs need a rocket, and that’s just what we found when we started work on our second Zac’s Place in Harden.”
When pulling up the floor they were confronted with rockets (fireworks) wrapped in paper dating back to 1953 and bullets in a 50’s chocolate box. They figure that they have uncovered all the treasure. Glen is being ably assisted by “Shrek” a qualified builder from Victoria who says he hasn’t been home in 2 years. As a member of the God Squad Bikers he and Glen have been spending time renovating what was Len Whybrow’s old home, to be used to house people in need.
Glen said that they received great assistance of time and materials from members of the community, when they renovated the Albury Street house. He said they were hopeful that interested people with time on their hands may come forth with assistance.
They would like to have the job completed by April. Glen said, “Jamie Summerfield has
donated some time to assist clearing the block and we appreciate his help. We could do with some more help with a bob cat.”
