Samantha Emms’ star is on the rise as a goalkeeper. She will trail for NSW Country in 2017.
“Mind Blowing” is what Sam Emms said when asked about her opportunity to trial for NSW Country. The 12 year old has just completed year 6 at MPS and has represented South West Slopes and Riverina. She has received an invitation to trial for Country and has been training in Wagga up until school finished this year. There will be a series of selection camps with the first one on January 22 -27. The second camp in April is where they will announce the team for the FFA Nationals. Sam took up the role of goalkeeper and found it fun, she likes to be part of the action near the goal. Mum Cindy joked “It is because Sam is bossy and likes to direct everyone from the back.” Cindy said “She played for the school side and Sam Flanery saw her potential and said she should play for Harden.” With 4 sisters Sam has plenty of siblings to practice her craft with an will continue to train before the January trials. Good Luck Sam
