Stuart Watts of Harden Police.
Stuart Watts of Harden Police has been walking the beat this week and making contact with local shop owners and residents. Many have received fridge magnets with all of the contact details for emergency services in relation to Police. He said “The support from the community helps us do our job.
The Police are always interested in working with the community to identify issues, however minor residents think they are. This allows us to deploy officers and track crime statistics.” Stuart would like to remind motorists that Operation Safe Arrival commenced on December 16 and will go through to January 2, 2017.
Police will be checking speed and undertaking alcohol and drug testing during this time. Whilst holidaying Stuart advised residents to make sure they secured their property before leaving the town, and said it would be a good idea to have a neighbour or friend keep an eye on your home.
Officer Watts has been working in Harden for over 2 and a half years and said he enjoys working in a small community of Harden Murrumburrah, he originally hails from the Northern Beaches of Sydney.
