A grass fire burnt approximately 2o hectares of farmland this afternoon on Woodburn Road at McMahon’s Reef.
Rural Fire Service Brigades and Hilltops Council combined to extinguish the main fire.
Tankers, a backhoe and a grader were used to tackle the blaze which was started by, or near a tractor on the property. The tractor was destroyed by the fire.
Personnel continue to mop up at the scene and the current warning level is still set at ADVICE.
