Local sculptor Terry Howe sold several of his much sought after pieces at the Maker’s Market held on Friday and Saturday in Neill Street.

Harden was host to a hugely successful Marers’ Market on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th December. The event saw the reactivation of a closed shop in the main street. Artisans from Harden, Murrumburrah, Binalong, Cootamundra and Young displayed their beautiful hand made items including jewellery, woven throws, eco dyed clothing, oils and baby’s bibs, children’s wear, collectables, garden sculpture, confectionary, patchwork rugs, timber products and honey. A big thank you to the whole community for coming and supporting the Markers’ Markets with such enthusiasm and generosity.

The venue was buzzing with fun, and curiosity for the high quality and originality of the items for sale and everyone commented on the more than reasonable prices of such beautifully crafted original pieces. In the hustle and bustle of the two days, the homemade blend of Ayurvedic chai tea on offer was welcomed by all and encouraged lots of conversation. It is hoped that in the future, events of this kind will assist in the reactivation of empty spaces within the shopping precincts of both Harden and Murrumburrah. HRDC expresses its appreciation to Jacksons Bakery for the very generous use of their fabulous, naturally lit space which was perfect for exhibiting works of this kind, and to all those artisans & visitors who made the effort to participate in this event.

Thank you. HRDC Harden Regional Development Corporation
