Aren’t we lucky to live in such a great little town! Our town of Harden has a unique little gift, garden and vintage shop in its recently landscaped and shady Neill Street. This new business ‘Botanica Romantica’ is the result of a recently revamped service to Harden shopping centre which supplies quality gifts and beautiful plants to local residents. Business proprietor Simone Ward says “it is a great pleasure to provide stylish gifts such as leather handbags, fine wool and silk scarves, botanical candles and skin care products to the discerning shopper. We pride ourselves on stocking quality products at affordable prices. We also offer free gift wrapping.”

Since its revamp earlier this year, Botanica Romantica has shown strong community support, with involvement in the fundraiser for the Snowy Mountains Rescue Helicopter, a stall at the very popular Historical Society fashion parade and a stall at the successful Harden Kite Festival in October. “Earlier this year we decided to try opening on Sundays for the time-poor local shoppers, and also for tourists looking for a country shopping experience. It was so successful that we have continued and are now open seven days a week.” Recently a new member has joined the team, and Marie is available most Tuesday mornings with advice on stylish gift selections or a lush plant purchase to beautify your home or garden. “We also stock the award-winning locally-made Cunningar Olive Oil, and delicious honey produced by the local Australian Honey Cellars. These quality local products are perfect for use in your own kitchen, and also make excellent gifts. We encourage all proud residents to come into the store and fill an ‘I love Harden Murrumburrah’ calico tote with these quality goods, to show support of what our region has to offer. “We love our little town and hope that this is reflected in the service that we offer. We are also very honoured to be able to display and sell local artworks of the talented artists of this community. “Our business is here for local community use and enjoyment, and we hope that residents will choose to shop locally rather than travel further afield. We shop at local businesses, and we encourage everyone to support our town and buy a locally made product from a local business, as this makes for a stronger, more diverse and interesting local economy. “We would like to thank our customers for their valued support as it is much appreciated.”
