New leaders at Murrumburrah High.
MHS – Jane Fitzgerald has been elected as Captain of Murrumburrah High, whilst Megan Sharman and Ellie Raptis take on the Vice Captains roles. Congratulations to these three young people.
Trinity – Trinity School had a fabulous time at the Boorowa Carnival. We have heard nothing but praise for the day from both children and parents. Not only did Boorowa put on a wonderful carnival they even managed to turn on beautiful spring weather. The children need to be commended for their behaviour, their participation and encouragement of others during the games. We would like to thank the parents who attended.
Trinity – Students from Year 1- 6 entered the Dorothea McKellar Poetry Competition competition. With over 11,000 competition entries nationwide, we did not bring home the major prize but all children were presented with a certificate and should be very proud of their efforts and entries presented in the competition. Congratulations to the following students: Eliza Butt, Harrison Hadley, Emily Lenehan, Katie-Rose O’Connor, Tully Potts, Bella Cooper, Angus Lenehan, Heidi O’Connor, Hamish Minehan, Hugh Squire-Wilson, Sophie Barnes, Amber McKay, Lotte Muldoon, Talia McKay, Poppy Lucas and Letitia Tyrrell.
MPS – Last Friday our year 2 to 6 students participated in the Boorowa touch football and netball carnival. Once again this was a fantastic day for our students. Our 4 netball teams had a busy day, with all teams playing at least 4 games. A huge congratulations to our Year 2 players who did a great job at their first carnival. Overall all teams participated extremely well, displaying a great deal of talent and achieving many victories throughout the day! We also entered four teams in the touch football. The hard work at school paid off, with some great flare and talent on display. Year 2 once again did themselves proud. These teams also had a busy day with lots of games. Well done to all on their efforts for the day.
