Harden Backrower Fergus Hall will be rearing to go today, in the Harden Red Devils Semi Final against Yass at Yass, at 2:30pm.
The Devils will play Yass this Saturday in the minor Semi Final at 2:30pm. If they win they will take on the loser of Batemans’s Bay and Boorowa who will meet at the Bay this weekend. This means Harden may face either of these sides the following week and also face a trip of 44 kilometres to Boorowa or a trek down the Clyde Mountain if they can overcome Yass on Saturday.
The focus is to get the squad together this weekend and beat Yass. Harden has been beaten by all three of the sides mentioned, in close matches this season.
They went down to Boorowa 31-19 at Boorowa in a match which saw three Harden players split open and plenty of claret flowing on April 9. Yass defeated the Devils at Yass 20-5 on April 30 in the worst performance by Harden this year. Yass are coming off a last week 72-7 defeat at the hands of Jindabyne who the Devils played in the hills on July 9. Harden recorded a close loss of 22-7 in that match.
Harden also went down to Bateman’s Bay at Robert’s Park in another close match on June 4, 33-17.
All of those scores are now irrelevant. Today’s match is a must win.
