Perfect autumn weather provided ideal conditions for the Gundalong Polo Tournament over the Anzac week-end. The final was played as the sun set on Sunday afternoon and our locals were rewarded with a home team win. Supporters and friends watched some quality polo and spirited competition over two days as 14 teams competed in three grades.
The coveted Bol Stribley trophy for the winning A Grade team saw Gundalong cheered to a ‘nail biting’ ½ goal victory. The B Grade team from Victoria, AYC, took home the trophy and of the 6 teams in the C Grade, Goulburn C was the winner. It was good to see so many teams at Gundalong and country polo thriving” said Club President, Angus Graham. “I thank everyone for making it happen and those who supported us on the day.” The team rounded off a successful season with another win at Windsor last week-end making it four in a row!
