Australian Squad Athlete Corbyn Bomok is back from his Sydney tournament sporting yet another trophy. Our local martial artist has gained the respect of his peers and spectators as he wowed them with his non-contact, competitive abilities. Corbyn’s mother, Christine Bomok said, “I had so many people come to me and say that Corbyn was amazing and looked extremely determined during competition.” “One mother even named him ‘Samurai!” she laughed. Corbyn has been training under the close guidance and supervision of Mr Shayne Wilson, from the Southeast Australian Taekwondo dojo in Cootamundra. Mr Wilson said, “Corbyn has the drive and potential to succeed at anything. He has made significant progress in a short amount of time and his willingness to participate makes all the difference. I am proud of what my student has achieved so far.
The team is one hundred percent behind him.” A spokesperson for Mr Wilson said “Mr Wilson’s dedication to his pupils is evident. His approach to each class is with great care. He is attentive and caters to individual needs while maintaining an interactive and non-contact training dojo that everyone can enjoy and learn in. The students have the utmost respect for their teacher. We welcome everyone to give it a go.” “Mr Wilson has helped me a lot. He makes sure I train hard to reach my goals,” said Corbyn, as he prepared for his Sydney tournament. Mr Wilson has shaped Corbyn into a more diverse competitor. “Mr Wilson is the best. I want my trophy from the Sydney tournament to be for him and our dojo and I want to do even better next time.” “Thank you to everybody who has supported me.
