Single Gaze, the locally bred horse from Redbank North and bred by the Middleton family, will line up in the James Boag’s Premium Oaks over 2400m today.
She sold at auction for $70,000 in the 2014 Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
Redbank North retained a share in the 4 year old filly by Not A Single Doubt, and she has gone on to win $1,178,300 from just 13 starts including 3 wins, 3 seconds and 2 thirds.
Today is her biggest challenge since she ran in the Golden Slipper in 2015. She won the Group 1 Vinery stakes over 2000 metres on March 26 and will now add another 400 metres to her race length, as the owners and trainers push here out to 12 furlongs.
If you would like to see a local horse take the best on, make sure your in front of a television at 2:35pm today.
Single Gaze is currently sitting at $11 with bookmakers, who rate her in the top 7 horses in the field.
