NSW Police Officers of the Police Transport Command (PTC) based in Campbelltown, along with sniffer dogs, boarded the Melbourne-bound XPT train this afternoon as part of Operation Southern Aurora.

The operation is an attempt to reduce anti-social behaviour and detect illicit drugs on coaches and trains throughout our region.

The XPT remained at the station for almost ten minutes, as officers and a sniffer dog swept the five-car train.

Further actions by the PCT and sniffer dogs are also planned.
