Long term Harden Polocrosse member and volunteer on Saturday March 12th, Peter Beal, takes a quick rest at the completion of the Polocrosse clubs team penning event. The Harden Polocrosse held a successful Team Penning event at the Harden Racecourse on Saturday March 12th, with 115 runs conducted throughout the day. “It was a good day,” said Harden Polocrosse Club President, Sam Bunny. “It was well supported.” The event was held to raise money for upgrading the facilities at the Harden Racecourse used by the club. The Harden Polocrosse Club would like to thank Steve Madge of Thompson’s Rural Supplies, who donated the prize for the jackpot run, Bernie Minogue and Zac Leitner for transporting the stock used for the event, and Chris Ward for donating the cattle. The Harden Polocrosse Club will begin its campaign for this season with carnivals starting in May, in the lead up to the major polocrosse carnival held in Harden at the end of June.
