The Harden Murrumburrah Camera Club will be holding its annual Competition & Exhibition from April 15th to April 17th at the Court House in Murrumburrah, with entries being accepted for multiple categories and age groups.
Competition entries close on March 26th. Photographs can be taken for the competition using anything from mobile phones and iPads through to specialised cameras. The Open Section will have eight categories, consisting of Portrait (colour), Landscape/Waterscape (colour), Macro/Close-up (colour), Birds and Animals (colour), Local Entrant-living within 50km radius of Harden-Murrumburrah (colour-any subject), Portrait (monochrome), Open – any other subject (monochrome). The cost of entry is $2.00 per photograph. The Junior Section is split into two, constituted by the 12 years & under and 13 to 18 years age groups. For the former, the categories are Birds & Animals, Portrait and Open. The 13 to 18 years section has the same categories, with the addition of Macro. The cost of entry for the Junior Section is $1.00 per photograph.
The competition is open to everyone regardless of where they may live. Entries can be mailed with a completed entry form to The Coordinator, PO Box 177, Harden NSW 2587, or dropped off at Harden Bearings and Hardware in Harden or the Tourist Information Centre in Young. Opening night is on Friday April 15th at 7.30pm, with supper provided. Entry fee is $5 for adults, children are free. The event will continue throughout the following weekend, 9am to 3.30pm.
