Ben Spencer is recovering in hospital after undergoing a second surgery to repair his damaged leg.
Captain Coach and Club President of the Binalong Brahmans, Ben Spencer sufferred a terrible leg injury on Saturday in the Brahman’s loss to Gunning. Spencer stepped up at the Brahman’s AGM by filling not only the President’s role but the role of Captain/Coach. The Yass Magpies returned to the Group 8 First Grade competition for this season taking many of the talented players with them who helped secure the Brahmans their 3 consecutive premierships in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Spencer must be admired for his willingness to take on the roles during a re-development period for Binalong. The Electricity line worker will now spend an indefinite time on the sideline as he recovers from the sickening injury. Spencer sufferred a compund fracture to his lower leg meaning his Tibia broke through his skin. The horrific injury soured what was already an unhappy day for the Brahmans who went down in the ladies league tag to a far superior Belconnen side. We wish Ben Spencer a speedy recovery and know he will be under the expert care of wife Ali.
