After Public Inquiries held at Boorowa, Cootamundra, Young and Gundagai today, information has come to hand that speakers will only be given 3 minutes to plead their case at the Harden Country Club tomorrow from 9:00am to 12:00pm.
There were 36 speakers and approximately 100 people in attendance at the Inquiry at Cootamundra, with 34 of the 36 speakers stating their support for a merger with Harden. This was more than the combined number of speakers at Young and Boorowa, with 12 and 14 speakers respectively. Gundagai has blitzed those numbers however, with 140 people registered to speak at their Inquiry. This is the highest number in New South Wales.
Each speaker was given 3 minutes each to speak, and with a large turn-out expected at the Inquiry tomorrow at the Harden Country Club, this rule is expected to be applied.
