Scott Chesworth mixing it up at the Jackson’s Bakery and Cafe site this week.
Jackson’s Bakery is continuing to improve and expand its premises on East Street, with construction underway on an outdoor eating area. The area that was once graced by semi-trailers receiving new tyres will now be transformed into one enjoyed by bakery patrons. An outdoor deck attached to the current bakery and café area is being built by local tradesman, Scott Chesworth, with work beginning last week. “We are extending our business into the old Harden Tyre Service area. There will be a dining and al-fresco area, and people will be able to enjoy the nice country air,” said Nicole Jackson of Jackson’s Bakery. Since opening its doors at the start of 2014, Jackson’s Bakery has become a popular destination for both tourists and locals alike, and was the winner of the Most Improved Business Award last year. It is also the meeting place for various groups and initiatives. Libby Smith from Alzheimer’s Australia conducts drop in sessions at Jackson’s Bakery every second month, and she will be at the bakery sometime in December.
