Pony Club participants on their ride from Coddington Park to the Showground.

23 Harden Pony Club riders gathered for a full and varied weekend of horsing around. The riders enjoyed activities on both days such as show jumping with Bernie Minogue, mounted games with Debbie, Bear and Loren Tonkin, polocrosse with Sandra Weston and Peter Beal, dressage/show riding with Roz Graham, and an afternoon of polo with Angus Gilmore, Shane Martin and Sandra Ballard from Garangula. We divided the riders into 4 groups based on their riding abilities. Riders were aged between 16 months to 18 yrs. The older riders had a trail ride with some parent riders out around Aurville while the small ones had a trail ride to Coddington Park for morning tea and a play. On Saturday night the riders and family members enjoyed a beautiful roast lamb dinner with thanks to Fleet and Coopers Butchery for the preparation and cooking of dinner ! A talent quest was the evenings entertainment with pony tricks, guitar playing, dancing and whip cracking being some of the amazing talents our members have. An early night was had by most, camping in floats and trucks to wake to a fully cooked breakfast was lovely! A huge thank you to all the instructors for donating their time to teach our children, it is rear that a small town like Harden is home to such talented instuctors in each of their riding professions. Thank you also to Andrew King at Garangula for his support to the club, Harden shire council for having the grounds beautifully mown, to all the parents and family members for their help and support in setting up, packing up and food preparation and last but most importantly thank you to our great little bunch of riders that made the camp so enjoyable! We are looking forward to next years riding activities.
