Harden Fuel Supplies Twin Town Rodeo President, Marcus Ashton is pictured with Harden Community Bank Manager Jen Sheridan. The Bank has come on board with a sponsorship worth $1000 to help ensure the success of the 2015 Rodeo.
There are just 7 weeks to go before the Harden Fuel Supplies Twin Town Rodeo hits the Harden Racecourse. The event will be held on Saturday November 21 and the committee has been working hard to ensure that the day is a success both in attracting talent but also ensure a financial sucess for future events. Rodeo Secretary Kristy Brown said “The old chutes have had to be removed and will be replaced with hired chutes this year, we have started painting the arena and will continue to do maintenance to the surrounding equipment.”
The committee will be holding numerous working bees in the coming weeks leading up to the big day and are asking for anyone who can help to contact them. Kristy said “Every little bit counts, we are not a very big committee so help even for a couple of hours is greatly appreciated, it all adds up.” Sponsorship for the event has been coming thick and fast with many local businesses jumping on board to assist in getting the event up and running. “Without the generous support of the business community we would not be able to host this event, they have been great. We still have 7 more spots available in the ‘Open’ categories which are our major events and will provide great exposure and we hope that they will be filled soon, potential sponsors can contact me on 0431 748 213 for an application form.” said Kristy. All stall holders are welcome, however, there are limted powered sites available so stall holders are asked to get in quick to ensure their spot. Anyone wishing to compete in the local steer rides or poddy calf rides can do so by contacting Marcus Ashton on 0401 962 494 for more information by the 1st of November.
Lachie Cosser ‘The Outback Stockman’ will be performing throughout the day starting at 9am. A full canteen, food stalls and bar will be available, however, the event is Strictly NO byo.
