Supported by a mass of family and friends Mellissa Ings and Catherine Cooper shaved their heads at the Harden Country Club on Saturday Night.
Both ladies raised much needed funds for The Harden Nursing Home and The Harden Branch of Can Assist.
Auction items such as a tour of Gai Waterhouse’s stables, pure wool floor rugs and tickets to the Channel Nine Footy Show, added funds to the cause with locals getting their wallets out in support of Mel and Catherine.
The night went off without a hitch thanks to the support of Scott Collins and Maryanne Fitzgerald. Collins got himself in to the groove stirring the crowd up and keeping the dollars ticking over whilst Maryanne did an excellent job officiating the proceedings. An approximate total of $8,500 was raised with the final count to come .
Well known local Hairdressers Reg Potts and Michelle Irving donated their skills with the scissors and both ladies were most appreciative of the effort put in by everyone on the night. Full story in the Twin Town Times out This Thursday.
