Over $15,000 in prizes will be on offer this weekend at The Greg Whitehead Memorial Fishing Challenge. The weekend is designed to raise money for The Cure Brain Cancer Foundation and is dedicated to fishing which was one of Greg’s favourite past times. Greg passed away in November 2014. His Mantra was “Never do tomorrow what you can do today” What most of the townsfolk will be doing this weekend is fishing on the ‘Juck’. Categories include Longest Murray Cod, Longest Yellow Belly, Longest Carp and the Mystery Length Greg Whitehead Memorial Trophy. With over 300 entrants for the weekend the Greg Whitehead Memorial Fishing Challenge is certain to be a success. If the weather turns bad, plenty of locals have cabins, bbqs and camping equipment.
