Paul Kemp receiving the National Service Medal from Assistant Commissioner Worboys from Southern Region, NSW Police Force.
Harden local Police Officer, Paul Kemp, has received the National Service Medal for Diligent and Ethical Service in a ceremony in Cootamundra on July 23. The award was given to Paul for 15 years of service, despite the fact that he has spent 18 years in the Force. “I am honoured to receive the award,” said Paul. “Being in the Police Force is like being in a big family.” Paul is a leading Senior Constable in the Highway Patrol based in Cootamundra. He grew up in Harden, and is the son of Bill and Helen Kemp. He and his wife Kirsty, and their three children Will, Grace, and Harrison, still live in Harden. “Country policing is good, you are part of the community,” he said. “It can be very rewarding, and you get to see positive changes in some peoples’ lives.”
