Luke ‘Fui’ Stanton cops a high shot from a Tigers defender in Saturday’s Major Semi Final loss to Bungendore

The Harden Hawks missed their chance to hold a Grand Final at McLean Oval next week when they succumbed to a second half resurgence by the Bungendore Tigers at Mick Sherd Oval on Saturday. The Hawks went out to a 10 points to nil lead at half time and looked to have the Tiger’s measure until  handling errors and nerves got the best of them. The match was fast paced and entertaining with the contest going down to the last minute. A conversion attempt from J Webster hit the upright giving the Hawks a chance to steal the match with only a minute to go. Bungendore held on for a 16-10 win. Try scorers for Harden were Nathan Schofiled and Mick Alcorn whilst Andrew Jones kicked a conversion. The Hawks will have to regroup this Saturday at McLean Oval and beat The Yass Magpies to make the Grand Final at Bungendore next Saturday.
