Binalong is known for putting on a good show, however the locals came together today to knock the socks off everyone who went to the 150 year celebration, of the death of ‘Flash’ Johnny Gilbert.
Approximately 1500 descended on the town of 250 people and everyone who made the trek to the place the locals call Brahman country, left in amazement.
From food stalls to period costumes to bush poetry to the re-enactment the main street was full of locals, people from nearby towns and many who had travelled long distances to the town.
