The Harden Murrumburrah Rugby League Club received a grant of $9,412.00 from re-elected Member for Cootamundra, Katrina Hodgkinson on March 26th.
The grant was given to the club as a part of the 2014/15 Sport Facility Program, which seeks to assist with funding for the development of local and regional level sport facilities and increase the availability, standard and quality of these facilities in NSW.
The funding has been received to upgrade the change rooms and amenities at McLean Oval from the NSW Government. The Club received the grant from Sport and Recreation through the Office of Sport.
“Safer and more accessible venues are crucial in assisting locals in staying fit and healthy,” said Katrina Hodgkinson. “The upgrade of the change rooms and amenities at McLean Oval will increase community participation and encourage families to consider trying different sports.”
“It is a great pleasure to assist local clubs and sporting associations by providing the funds to increase the availability, standard and quality of local sport facilities,” she added.
