Beggan Hill Hereford Stud has capped off a highly stellar year, winning the Most Successful Hereford Exhibitor Award at the 2015 Sydney Royal Easter Show. The stud took 8 head of cattle, and returned with several major ribbons.
Beggan Hill ‘Kingfisher’ continued his good form, winning the Junior Champion Hereford Bull section. Kingfisher also won the Junior Champion Hereford Bull titles at the 2015 Gundagai, Boorowa, Yass and Canberra shows.
Beggan Hill ‘Peacher’ took out the Junior Champion Hereford Female title, and Beggan Hill ‘Doreen’ HO59 won the Reserve Senior Champion Female section.
The stud returned from the show with 4 First Place Ribbons, 5 Seconds and a Highly Commended.
“It was a good haul,” said Harvey Jones of Beggan Hill Stud. “Last year we didn’t win any major ribbons.”
At the 2014 Sydney Royal Easter Show, Beggan Hill took home 1 First ribbon for Beggan Hill ‘Jacko’, 1 second place ribbon and 2 thirds.
