The 31st Cootamundra Annual Mixed Touch Football Carnival was held on January 10 and 11 with Harden Murrumburrah displaying a strong showing. Touch carnival organiser Kelly-Ann Connell said the grounds held up well despite the steady rain and Cootamundra was lucky to avoid the downpour many other towns in the region received. “Some teams remarked we’ve gone from 40 degrees in 2014 to rain this year, so there’s no middle ground here,” she joked.
Harden touch football team Try Again, took out the B Grade title on Sunday afternoon. The result is one of the best performances by a team from Harden in recent memory.
