Wayne and Darren Prosser were awarded with Life Memberships from the Harden Gun Club last Sunday at the Light Horse Hotel. The awards are in recognition of their contributions to the Club over many years. The Prossers have hosted the Harden Gun Club on their land since the Club came into existence over 16 years ago.
“They have been absolutely fantastic,” said former Harden Gun Club President, Noel Fairall. “Without their help we wouldn’t have a gun club.”
The Harden Gun Club shoots .22 calibre rim fire and centre fire rifles, and they lease the land from the Prosser family. Due to the safety requirements of the firing range, a significant portion of land is fenced and flagged off.
The General Meeting of the Harden Gun Club will take place on the 1st of February, with the first practice shoot slated for February 22nd. Secretary Don Armistead would like to wish all the Gun Club’s members a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
