A moving vehicle collided with a stationary vehicle on Sunday at approximately 7.30pm.
The Ford Festiva was hit with such force that it was pushed down the road in an easterly direction resulting in extensive damage and it being towed from the scene.
The offending driver did not stop and left the scene however turned himself in at the Harden Police station later in the evening.
The 29 year old man had his breath analysed and he returned a reading of 0.072. He was interviewed by police and may face charges of low range PCA and failure to stop after an accident.
The police are also investigating the possibility of the driver being distracted by a mobile phone.
