Jugiong hosted the Shine Shield on Saturday 1 February with more than 300 people through the gate and 199 swimmers competing from Harden, Yass, Binalong and Jugiong.
The carnival kicked off with the Annual March Past. Harden and Jugiong were declared winners of the March Past trophy, due to their marching ability and looking smart in their uniforms.
Children younger than 8 years up to those “over 30’s” raced in all strokes over 25 metres and the brave attempted the individual medley over 100 metres.
Binalong declared the overall winners for the first time in it’s 48 year history. The Relay House trophy was won by Harden.
