The Devils want to give a massive thank you to everyone that has helped them throughout the year, and cannot thank you enough. The Club would give everyone an award if they could! On to 2027!!
President of the Devils (and player himself), Charlie Brown, says he couldn’t be prouder of the club’s efforts this year.

“It was the best year to be involved in the Devils,” he says.
“We had our 50-year celebrations, and both teams made it to the second week of finals.
“We were the only club to have both men’s and women’s [teams] in the finals.”
Although the men’s team fell “agonisingly short” against Boorowa, Charlie says the energy from the game was infectious, making for a great day out.

“[It was] some of the biggest crowds we’ve ever seen in rugby, and the excitement from the towns was fantastic,” he says.
“The support we’re getting from the community is fantastic.”

The club also celebrated 50 years of Devils on the Racecourse, and Charlie says it was a perfect night celebrating the past, present and future of their club.
“There are some really good people involved in the club now and are doing a lot of good things,” he says.

“So, honestly, I couldn’t be prouder of the club and how the year unfolded. It was bloody fantastic, really.”

The players are now enjoying a good break during their off season, but club officials are already getting stuck into the nitty-gritty behind the scenes.

“We’ve already held our AGM and have our committee sorted for next year, we like to get the ball rolling early,” says Charlie.

Celebrating the year that was, Charlie says it’s all thanks to the community.
“Everyone’s support in the town has been amazing and we look forward to doing it all again next year,” he says.
