The Harden Red Devils have played a blinder of a season, with only a single loss this season. Now the Devils need to beat the Goldies this week in what is sure to be a blockbuster matchup.
Devils started the season on the right foot, getting a dominant 79 – nil win over West Wyalong before putting out a statement with a 35 – 14 win over the Young Yabbies.
The Tuskers couldn’t take down the Devils (31 – 5), neither could Boorowa in their last bout (35 – 24), but the Devils’ first loss did eventually come at the hands of Condobolin 29 – 24.
Harden wouldn’t take long to bounce back, beating Cootamundra 33 – 10. They took on Grenfell next, where they won 26 – nil.
Once again, the Devils were unstoppable, as proven by winning a second bout with West Wyalong 54 – 12. Harden continued with wins against Young (27 – 17) and most recently, Temora (33 – 31).
Now Harden stands face-to-face with the Boorowa Goldies, who are hungry for a chance to hand the Red Devils a second loss. Harden sits in first, while Boorowa sits second on the ladder, making this a true top-of-the-table clash. Both teams have 9 wins and 1 loss, giving this massive implications for how the ladder will look after it’s all said and done with finals right around the corner.
This is sure to be an unforgettable match with a lot riding on both teams’ shoulders. The game will take place on July 11 at Boorowa starting at 3:15pm.
If Harden wants to walk the path of gold, they first must beat the gold.
