With his oldest progeny four-year-olds, D’Argento has had a great season with 50 winners from 96 runners in Australia to give him a seasonal strike rate of 52% winner to runner, which is very similar to another Rosehill Guineas winner from the same sireline in Castelvecchio.
Castelvecchio has sired 52 winners from 101 starters for 51.5% seasonal winners to runners and stands at a fee of $60,500.
D’Argento had sired five stakes placed horses this season before last Saturday and broke through for a stakes-winner when his exciting filly Ladies Pro scored a dominant three length win in the Listed WATC Belmont Oaks (2000m.)
Also worth noting is D’Argento has had five runners in Hong Kong this season for four winners at 1200 to 1400m and two of those are promising three year-olds Leading Dragon and Leading Agility.
