Vandals have struck out at the public toilets in Coddington Park on Sunday, 31 May and Monday, 1 June.
The damages have caused the facilities to close down while Council staff work on repairs.
CCTV footage of the vandals was captured and has been provided to local police who are now investigating the matter. Harden police are asking anyone who may have any additional information that may assist with the investigation to come forward.
In a public statement, Hilltops Council has said, “Vandalism of public facilities is disappointing and costly, diverting Council resources away from services and improvements that benefit the whole community, Council strongly discourages this behaviour and encourages residents to report any suspicious activity.”
“Council thanks the community for its patience and understanding while repairs are carried out.”
In addition to loud bangs heard by local community members, significant fire damage can be seen around the sinks and toilets with empty alcohol cans littered around the site.
