On Saturday at the Harden Rodeo Ground will be the Harden Rodeo from 11:00 am, giving the public some broncs, barrels and bands.
Jarrad Wigley will be performing on the day to provide music alongside the other events.
President of the Rodeo, Zak Leitner, said, “Things are coming along pretty good. We have got some good entries, good weather. It’s going to be a good weekend,” he said.
“There’s been a huge workload from a lot of volunteers, which has been good. It’s going to take a lot of volunteers on the day to get the job done, but it’s shaping up pretty well.
“There will be bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, and barrel racing. The camp oven cook will go off all day. We have got live entertainment from Jarrad Wrigley playing from 6:00 pm on that night, so it’s going to be a pretty full-on weekend. It will roll on to Sunday with the team roping and barrel racing all day.
“Community support has been really good. We’ve had a lot of people jump on and sponsor us, which has been good. A lot of volunteers have been helping out. We’ve had to do a lot of work out at the grounds. They’ve been pretty run-down.
“Without the support, these sorts of things can’t happen.
“Come support a local group. We are trying to build it, make bigger and better things at each event that we run, and it is going to be a good weekend.
“It is huge. With the crisis, everything is going on at the moment, fuel and everything are getting dearer, and it is about getting the community back together at different country events. We are looking forward to it.”
