On Thursday 5th March, the Harden Country Club is hosting a Seniors Expo from 10:30am -2:30pm. This is the first of a series of events that have come from a collaboration between HRDC, the Harden Country Club, Flexible Care Services, Harden Grange, and the Harden-Murrumburrah Arts Council.
It’s great to see these community organisations coming together to develop a calendar of events to celebrate and connect all the seniors in our community.
The Seniors Expo will showcase a wide variety of local service providers and those that go along will be able to speak directly to people from these organisations.
Just a few of the organisations that will be represented include Services NSW, Candid Hearing, Bendigo Bank, Flexible Care Services, Mercy Health, Wellways, Harden Grange, and Legal Aid. There will be almost 30 organisations in total and it’s a great opportunity for seniors to find out what services are available to them locally.
In the second week of the NSW Seniors Festival the Harden Country Club will be running its popular Country Classics event. This will include some great entertainment and a catered lunch on Thursday 12th March.
The Country Classics monthly event proved really popular last year, and it will continue in 2026. The February Country Classics event at the Harden Country Club will only be $10. HRDC and the Harden Country Club have worked together to enable this day to be provided at such a low-cost so as many as 120 seniors in the region can come together to celebrate the NSW Seniors Festival.

The following week there is another great activity for Seniors that involves children from our local schools. On Thursday 19th March Harden -Murrumburrah will have its first ever Colour Shuffle.
The Colour Shuffle is basically it’s a fun-run – or walk or in this case – maybe shuffle, where participants, usually dressed in white, are doused from head-to-toe in safe coloured powder at various stations along a course.
For those attending who are a bit worried about getting colour in their eyes, safety glasses will be provided.
It’s all about having fun and celebrating the theme of the NSW Seniors Festival for 2026 – Live Life in Colour. This is one you don’t want to miss. It will be a great day out and the Murrumburrah-Harden Rotary Club have volunteered to run a BBQ on the day, so everyone gets something to eat before they start the course.

All seniors are welcome to attend, including those with limited mobility – all for just a gold coin donation. There will be young people available to help you get around the course and be part of this fun event.

The final event in the series will see everyone back at the Harden Country Club, this time for an Arts Workshop on Thursday 26th March. The Harden-Murrumburrah Arts Council has generously offered to subsidise an Arts Workshop which will be very popular. More details on this will be released in the coming weeks.
