It is a rare opportunity to have an organist like Anthony Hahn performing in our local community. Anthony will be at the Ross Memorial Church, Murrumburrah, on Sunday afternoon 26th October for a one-hour recital on the historic Dodd pipe organ. The recital commences at 2.00 pm with afternoon tea to follow where Anthony is keen to talk with locals.
Entry for the recital will be via a donation at the door (cash only, please) with proceeds going to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Anthony has visited the Ross Memorial Church on several occasions and is keen to demonstrate the organ with a selection of well-known and classic works from the organ repertoire.

Anthony has been cathedral organist at St Paul’s Anglican Cathedral in Sale, Victoria for many years, taking up this position in 2006 when just over the age of 21. This is an amazing feat given that his parents were into old time dancing and cooked up a plan for him to learn electronic organ as a kid so he could play in the band.
The first time Anthony witnessed a pipe organ being played was in 1997 at Sale at a memorial service for the late Princess Diana. He was entranced. Two years later he was Organ Scholar at the Anglican Cathedral there and then Cathedral Organist seven years later.

In February 2014 Anthony was one of several young organists who made their debut performance at the Melbourne Town Hall.
Anthony now travels to all states of Australia spreading the joy of music to young and old. He documents the history of organs, networks with musicians, gives advice on operation and conservation of instruments, gives recitals and presents workshops to school-aged music students and those with a curiosity about the organ.
Anthony hopes that for those attending his Murrumburrah recital on 26th October “You will all leave with full hearts and smiling faces”.
